Come join me for the first night of a series of Inspirational films. Our first one: Intelligent Trees, is a documentary, directed by Julia Dordel an starring Dr.Suzanns Simard and Peter Wohhlebens.
Trees talk, know family ties and care for their young? Is this too fantastic to be true? German forester Peter Wohlleben (‘The Hidden Life of Trees’) and scientist Suzanne Simard (The University of British Columbia, Canada) have been observing and investigating the communication between trees over decades. And their findings are most astounding. UBC Professor, Suzanne Simard, speaks about her inspiring research on “Mother Trees” and the various ways that these majestic beings communicate through an underground bio-ecological internet, thus holistically supporting and nourishing one another.
If trees are such social beings, sharing food with their own species and sometimes go even so far as to nourish their competitors… what can we learn from them as human communities?
