The Quality Of Your Presence, The Most Precious Gift Of the Heart!

“I had been afraid of the awful presence of the river,
which was the soul of the river, but through her
I learned that my spirit shared in the spirit of all things.”

~ Rudolfo Anaya

The most precious gift that we can give to our surroundings, to a love one, or to our self, is the gift of our presence, well rooted in the present moment. Have you ever heard the saying: “Where there is fear, there is no love, where there is love, there is no fear?” Albert Einstein said that we can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. Fear is not the solution to a world that seem to be lost in confusion, chaos and mere disconnection.

Fear just does not work. It has kept us disconnected, constricted, breathless, hopeless and powerless. It keeps us away from our present moment, from the opportunity to be connected, from the power of our heart, intuitions and visions. Look at our history and look at how countries and societies from around the world were successfully intimidated, paralyzed and defeated by fear. On the other hand, look at the power of faith and the successes of many individuals and movements of resistances who succeeded to overcome systems of segregation and discrimination. Think of Alice Paul, Mary McLeod Bethune, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandala, think of Rachel Carson etc… There are so many women and men whom by their visions, greatly influenced the betterment of our world. Did you know that right now on the planet, there are unprecedented number of organizations driving social changes? In 2012, the number of NGOs (non-governmental organizations,or not-for-profit), world wide was estimated to be 3.7 million. It is an exciting time!

In his book: “Man’s search for meaning”, Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist and holocaust survivor Viktor E. Frankl wrote: “We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way…. The one thing you can’t take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one’s freedoms is to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance.” And most poignantly, from someone who has lost his entire family and loved ones to the horrors of the concentration camps, is Frankl’s conclusion: “For the first time in my life I saw the truth as it is set into song by so many poets, proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers. The truth – that Love is the ultimate and highest goal to which man can aspire. Then I grasped the meaning of the greatest secret that human poetry and human thought and belief have to impart: The salvation of man is through love and in love.”

Through love and in love lies our connection to the self,  the world and the universe. Quantum leaps, thanks to modern technologies (see below in the health tips of the month), is now revealing what the ancient and indigenous communities knew for thousands of years. Gifted by the strong magnetic field of the heart, our body is wired to communicate with every cell of our body for health and self-healing as well as with the world around us. Not bound by the linear laws of physics as we thought, we are now learning that we do have the ability through the quality of our presence and consciousness, to affect the field of our physical and surrounding reality.

It is now time to shift to a new paradigm of love, creativity and abundance, where we can stand dignified, committed in taking full responsibility for our experience with genuine compassion and with the precious gift of our presence!

“If your mind carries a heavy burden of past, you will experience more of the same. The past perpetuates itself through lack of presence. The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

INSPIRATION OF THE MONTH

To continue to be inspired about the quality of our presence and how it can bring psycho physiological coherence and  healing, not only individually but also globally, here is a short film from HeartMath Institute. Since 1991, the HeartMath Institute has researched and developed reliable, scientifically based tools to help people bridge the connection between their hearts and minds, and deepen their connection with the hearts of others.

The Heart’s Intuitive Intelligence: A path to personal, social and global coherence

“My whole life is here with you, awaiting that moment when you hatch out from the shell of personal identity, and take flight as pure presence.”

~ Mooji

And again, it is with a true Sense of Love and Humility, that I find myself of service in this big picture of life, where to understand our own health, it is often valuable to understand our place in our surroundings, living consciously, with an awareness of our own nature and of the world around, how it affects us and how we, in turn, can affect nature and the world.

Please, accept my gratitude for the possibility to share, and for the precious and endless teachings that I receive from each and every one.

We are truly interconnected!

In Gratitude, Love, Health and Happiness,
Denise

And in loving memory of our beloved little Lulu…

Dogs have a connection to the heart! Little Buddhas, real inspiration… and also teachers of unconditional love and presence. They teach us how to navigate the relationship we have to the self. They give us way more than we can ever imagine giving to anyone else, or even to our own self, in terms of quality of unconditional love and presence. Constantly connecting to our emotions through the field of the heart, dogs remind us of the importance to play, and to live in the moment.
