See The Vision And Your Life Becomes Brighter!

“Act as if what you intend to manifest in life is already a reality. Eliminate thoughts of conditions, limitations, or the possibility of it not manifesting. If left undisturbed in your mind and in the mind of intention simultaneously, it will germinate in the physical world.”

~ Wayne Dyer

See The Vision And Your Life Becomes Brighter

On the Eve of 2018, a brand New Year is at your door waiting for you to manifest your innermost desires. What are they? I invite you to take a moment of silence, to pause and to go deep within to search for feelings, wants and dreams…What would you like to experience in 2018? What would bring you more Joy, Love, Health and Fulfillment? Can you see it?

Life has to be lived!  It often starts with doing what must be done in terms of the complexity of our modern world for getting an education, a job, bringing food to the table, providing for a roof, warmth, light and clothing, and loving and caring for the children. It seems sometimes that there is no time left to experience anything else and that life has become heavy, dull and monotonous. But it does not need to be this way. To the contrary. You really want to live instead of just existing! Life should never be mundane or experienced as humdrum.  Keep your sights raised! Keep the feelings and the vision of what you want to experience near to your heart, and of your dreams and intentions, or if not, everything you do becomes lifeless and purposeless. When you see your vision and feel the several expressions of its manifestation, even very dimly,  life becomes vital and brighter again, and by putting your heart and love into action, you then increase your potential for realizations. Become contagious and let your thoughts, words and deeds germinate into the physical world!

“Love and desire are the spirit’s wings to great deeds”.
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”
~Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

HEALTH TIPS OF THE MONTH

“Through our breath we are in relation with all Life, and in the Now, never separated from the Great Mystery.”

–Native American Teachings

4 Simple Empowering Tools To  Calm Your Mind,

and To Enhance Your Presence With Yourself and

Others

  1. Deep Breathing: Breath Is The Fuel Of Life!

Simple but powerful. Integrates your body-mind-spirit connection.

Breath has a powerful effect on how you are feeling physically, mentally and emotionally.

It is a powerful tool in eliminating stresses and toxins. It massages the lymphatic system for detoxification and immunity. Activates the circulation. Calms the nervous system and affects positively the cardiovascular system. Breath helps to commune, calm, centre, and refine your responses. It alkalizes the system. It provides Chi, increases vital force.

Practice slow, deep breathing 5 to 15 minutes a day until it becomes natural. Make it your meditation! It will provide more clarity on what needs to happen to meet your daily goals, so that you can better focus on the essential. It connects you to your true essence and what you desire most in your life.

2. Do One thing At The Time.

You may think that you are getting more done by multi-tasking, but your brain was never programmed this way. It creates stress, over-activating your adrenals, creating acidity. Over time, it can affect the quality of your neural networks. It also affects the quality of the presence you give to yourself and to others. So, focusing on just one thing to do it right give you more satisfaction and pleasure.

3. Say “YES” To Yourself When Having To Say No To Others.

You can not give to others what you don’t have for yourself !!!

How often do you say “yes” to others by sacrificing your own self, resulting in holding on to resentment?  This hurts you and affects your immune and cardiovascular systems. When you are aware of carrying guilt from having said “no” to someone, celebrate that you honoured yourself. When feeling “guilty”for saying “no”,  know that this is healthier than resentment!

4. Practicing Uplifting Emotions Like Gratitude, Compassion And Happiness, And Even Smiling…

…have a powerful influence on your whole body. It has been demonstrated that they promote a stronger immune system, as well as less nervous conditions, cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory infections.

 Recipe Of The Month

         Red Cabbage and Kale Slaw

With the New Year often comes the desire to get back to a healthier diet and to feed every “cell” of the “self”. What a perfect timing to re-introduce or increase your consumption of Red Cabbage and Kale which are some of the most nutritious vegetables that you can think of. Both come from the Acephala group of the Brassica oleracea family. They were apparently some of the most popular vegetables of the Middle Ages and would date from the Greek and Roman times.  Delicious both raw and cooked, they contain many nutrients, vitamins and minerals, including natural bacterial flora if cultivated organically, ample vitamin K which is responsible to get the minerals into the bones and teeth, the right balance of omegas 3 and 6, vitamins A and C, and the red cabbage provides the precious flavonoid anthocyanins. Briefly, they support the digestive tract and the gut, while promoting oxygenation to the cells,  detoxification, immunity, strong bones, clear vision, memory and longevity.

 Serves 4

Ingredients:

  •  3 cups mixed shredded kale and red cabbage
  •  1 large carrot shredded

  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 shredded clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper

  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley leaves finely chopped
  • 2 -3 tablespoons of diced red onions
  • 4 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds

Directions:

  1. Massage  the kale leaves with a small amount of olive oil until it starts to soften and wilt, 2 to 3 minutes. Massaging is a process of physically breaking down the kale to make it more delicious, easier to chew and to digest. Set aside while you make the dressing.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the olive oil, mustard, garlic clove and apple-cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper
  3. In the salad bowl, combine the cabbage, kale, carrot, parsley, and red onion with the pumpkin, and hemp seeds.
  4. Drizzle with the dressing, and toss to coat.

INSPIRATION OF THE MONTH

Internationally acclaimed cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg is certainly a favorite of mine. He knows how to mirror to us the Beauty of our World. He found purpose in sharing that Nature’s beauty is a gift that cultivates appreciation and gratitude. Furthermore, that we humans, are naturally drawn to protect what is beautiful. If most of us knew how truly beautiful our world is, would we not want to protect it? What about protecting your own body? Isn’t the earth its mirror and the home of its interconnection?

“A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.”
  ~Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

My vision is for us to keep witnessing the light cracking through our shadows, bringing global healing to our individual, collective and earthly wounds, so that we may become united to cultivate health, love and peace for all beings on Earth!

It is with a deep gratitude for each one of you, and for my family, friends, and community,

that I wish you a Bright Holiday Season and a Wholehearted New year!

In Health and Joy,
Denise
