What is a healthy pH and how does it affect my health?
First of all, the pH stands for power of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions in an aqueous solution. Its role is to control the speed of chemical reactions and the electrical conductivity.
Yes, we are energy!
The pH ranges from 1 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic, and above is alkaline. The ideal pH for our body is between 7.30 and 7.45. Our amazing body will do everything possible to maintain our pH to about 7.37.
And why is that? Simply, because it is a matter of life and death.
Have I ever seen a pond which water is acidic? What happens there? There is practically no life, very little biodiversity of plants, fishes, frogs and insects compared to healthy streams of water.
But what is the problem since my body keeps regulating my pH? It is the on-going compensations to preserve the pH that causes the damages.
Do I know what can cause acidity? Yes, an acidic life style: high level of emotional stress, tension, fear, anger, toxic overload, lack of sleep, overwork, rigorous exercise, poor diet, not enough alkaline minerals, high acidic foods such as sugars, meat, saturated fats, dairy, alcohol, yeast, chemicals and all synthetic drugs. Also dehydration, superficial breathing, smoking and lack of exercise. All of this can cause the body to work excessively hard to maintain an optimal pH of 7.37.
Health is truly related to the way we think, feel, eat and live.
